2022 NSW All Schools Touch Report

On the 28th and 29th of June, SJRC competed at the Mid North Coast All Schools Touch Football Regional Qualifier.
The Year 7/8 Girls Team had a mixed day, starting slow but managing to walk away with a number of wins. Thank you to Coach Miss Baxter for helping the girls improve all day. Full results here
The Yr 7/8 Boys had an outstanding day under the guidance of coach Mr Gudgeon. The team progressed through the rounds undefeated before coming up against a strong Taree High School team eager for revenge. In what played out as one of the most thrilling drop-off Grand Finals, the SJRC boys were crowned champions, winning 3-2.
Mid North Coast Champions
The Yr 9/10 Girls gradually developed their game over the course of the round games. After a close loss to Taree High School in the rounds, the girls were set to face off again in the grand final. In hindsight, the girls had saved their best touch football for this game, demonstrating some incredibly strong defence, taking out the title 3-0. Congratulations to Miss Eames and the team.
Mid North Coast Champions
The Yr 9/10 Boys showed brief periods of briliance across the day, but unfortunatley couldn't progress to the finals, walking away with 3 wins and 2 losses. Thank you to Mr Prince for his effort working with the boys.
The 7/8 Boys and 9/10 Girls will now contest the All Schools State Final in Tuggerah on the 2nd of August. Best of luck to the teams and their coaches.
