  featured image

In late July, SJRC sent four teams to Tuffins Lane to contest the NSW All Schools Touch Football Regional Qualifier. The All Schools pathway is one of the strongest school based competitions with only the winning school selected to attend the All Schools State Final in Penrith.

The Year 9/10 Girls had a great day of touch football, facing up against some tough competition. The girls demonstrated strong resolve in the face of a number of injuries and improved in every match. The team qualified for the Semi finals but were defeated by MacKillop College 4-2. Congratulations girls.

The Yr 7/8 Girls team presented as a fresh new side full of youth and enthusiasm. With predominatley Year 7 students the girls were keen to immerse themselves into secondary level touch and showed great improvement across the day. The team won all their pool games but were eventually defeated in the semi finals. Congratulations girls and Coach Beeby, you have showed great promise for next years competition.
