2023 Diocesan Athletics Championships Results
On Wednesday 23rd August, the SJRC Athletics Squad travelled to Coffs Harbour International stadium to compete in the 2023 Diocesan Athletics Championships.
After an early departure, students were greeted with sunny skies and a top of 23 degrees.
The SJRC Squad finished the day 2nd Overall in the Diocese, behind MacKillop College, Port Macquarie.
Special mention to the following students who broke SJRC records on the day
- Zac Lovett broke the 15s Boys 400m record with a time of 52.27s
- Sam Fox broke the 17+ Boys Shot Put record, throwing 14.05m
- Bella Lahey broke the 13s Girls Shot Put record, thowing 11.78m. This record has stood for 51 years!
- Leeara Elford broke the 14s Girls Triple Jump record, jumping 10.61m
The following students also performed well across multiple events earning them Age Champion points:
