2024 Schools Cup Netball State Final
On Wednesday the 13th of November, the Yr 9/10 Girls Netball team travelled to Netball Central in Homebush to contest the NGS Schools Cup Netball State Finals
The event is the final stage in the prestigious state-wide tournament involving all NSW schools. Divisions include Yr 7/8 Boys and Girls and Yr 9/10 Boys and Girls. 2024 marks a return to this event for our SJRC girls who have battled our local and regional qualifiers against MacKillop College and St John Paul College Coffs Harbour.
The team began the day with a loss to The Hills Sports High School 24 - 7. In game 2, the girls turned it around and defeated Carinya Christian School 13 - 9. A win in the 3rd game would have seen the team through to the Semi-finals, however, it was not to be having drawn the game 11 - 11 against St Peter's South Coast.
Thank you to Coach Mrs Croft for the many hours of coaching and patience across this years Schools Cup campaign and congratrulations on a 5th place in the State.
