SJRC Athletics Carnival Success
A huge congratulations to Mr Kelly and Ms Toms for their seamless organisation and leadership of this year’s SJRC Athletics Carnival. The day was a wonderful celebration of College spirit, teamwork and athletic achievement. From the first race to the final relay, the energy was high and the atmosphere electric. It was fantastic to see students not only giving their best on the track and field, but also showing incredible support and encouragement for their peers throughout the day.
Well done to everyone involved for making the event such a memorable success!
Congratulations to all age champions and runner-up champions. Your dedication, skill, and sportsmanship are commendable.

Issuing of Year 7–11 Semester One Academic Reports

These reports offer valuable insights into your child’s academic progress during the first half of the year and will include three key components:
Common Grade Scale (Years 7–10) / ROSA Grade (Year 11)
An A–E reporting scale that reflects overall achievement in each subject.
Academic Profile – Knowledge, Skills, and Understanding (KSUs)
This section reports on the student’s grasp of subject-specific content and outcomes.
Learning Behaviours – Commitment to Learning (CTLs)
A consistent set of descriptors across all subjects that reflect the student's work habits and classroom engagement.
We encourage all parents and carers to take the time to review and discuss the reports with their child to celebrate achievements and identify areas for growth.

On Tuesday, 22rd July, our annual athletics carnival was held at the College. We were blessed with a slightly overcast day as temperatures topped 19 degrees at lunch. The prize was the CC Adams Shield, which is awarded to the winning House.
The day began with the first of six rotations. All students competed in the 100m, 200m, Javelin, Shot Put, Discus and Long Jump before lunch. Our wonderful staff officiated all events and assisted with recording, marshalling, & catering. After lunch, the 100m finals were contested, followed by the double points relays.
Congratulations to Flinders, who secured victory for the second year in a row. This also completes back-to-back Triple Crowns for Flinders, who have taken out the Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics carnivals.
